 There are a number of important government documents
such as Models of Care and Every Child Matters that now
place expectations on all workers who come across drug
and alcohol issues as part of their work. Screening,
early intervention and prevention are key aspects of
this type of work.
The development of this Brief Intervention and Screening
Tool is an
extremely useful resource in allowing workers to deal
with issues around
substance use far more effectively in line with
government expectations.
The Kirklees Drug Action Team commends this document and
recommends
that anyone who comes across drug and alcohol issues
understands
