What is Drug Sense?
A service which supports young people and their families
and aims to reduce the harm from drugs, alcohol and
solvents. We encourage young people to take control of
their lives and make informed choices for themselves.

Drug Sense works in communities Kirklees wide. We place
particular emphasis on young people who need extra
support such as those in residential or foster care,
young people who are having problems, young people who
are homeless or involved in the criminal justice system.
How are the young people involved?
Drug Sense actively encourages young people to become
involved in positive activities which might include
organising events for young people or working with Drug
Sense staff to deliver drug awareness information to
other young people and adults.
What advice can Drug Sense offer?
Drug Sense offers confidential specialist help to young
people who are experiencing problems because of their
