Whatever age you are (as long as you are young – no parents allowed!), the Kirklees Young People’s Service has activities for you.

The YPS provides a whole range of leisure, sporting and learning activities for children and young people living in Kirklees.

It has youth clubs, special projects, community recreation and sporting events, play activities, the Duke of Edinburgh Award and also opportunities for young people to get involved in Council decision making.

YPS also offers help to young people needing information about education, employment and family issues. For any other type of help, the YPS can direct you to the right organisation for you to get the help you need.

The YPS even has its own mission statement, which is: “The Young People's Service is committed to securing a wide range of sustainable, high quality leisure and learning opportunities for young people in Kirklees. We plan our work and evaluate our programmes by applying the 5 Key Outcomes as set out in the Every Child Matters Framework."
