Services
The criminal justice services
provides interventions and support for people entering
and traveling through the criminal justice system,
working in partnership with other agencies.
The arrest referral team covers the custody suites
across Kirklees, starting with harm reduction and on to
a complete triage assessment and referral to appropriate
services... It also provides outreach support to enable
people to access these services.
The through care and aftercare team also covers cell
areas and courts supporting people with community
sentences and those who may disengage with services or
going on to custodial sentences.
The prison link team provide the continuing care for
those who have been remanded to prison. They offer
support for people during their sentence and planning
for their release. This involves tracking the person
through their sentence and beyond into the community.
The Drug Treatment and Testing Order Team provide the
treatment component parts of this community sentence.
Working in close partnership with probation they support
the client in addressing their substance misuse,
providing clinical treatment and intense structured
support. This may involve group work and support in
accessing Lifelines mainstream services, training and
daily living skills and relapse prevention.
